Game Seven
Post 320
hammers Watertown

Assistant Coach Mitch Johnson congratulates Zach
Cimburek after Cimburek's second home run of the game.
ABERDEEN -- Rapid City Post 320 took
their hacks early and often en route to a 15-4 run-rule victory over
Watertown in the first game of winner's bracket action on Thursday
night. Each of Post 320's starters reached base at least twice in the
victory, and only had one inning in which they did not have at least one
runner reach base.
Zach Cimburek started the and finished the offensive
onslaught for Post 320, as he drove in the first three runs of the game
with a home run to right-center field off of the scoreboard in the first
inning, and followed that up with a grand slam home run over the 375'
sign in right center in the seventh inning. Chris Lindemann added a
two-run home run of his own in the sixth inning as Post 320 tallied
fifteen hits in the game.
Sean Holloway took control of the game on the mound for Post
320, allowing only one run in the first five innings of his start.
Holloway only walked two batters in his outing, and only two extra base
hits through all six innings.
Post 320 advances to play the winner of the Mitchell/Sioux
Falls West game tomorrow night at 7:30 P.M., while Watertown will play
the host Aberdeen Smittys at 12:30 Thursday afternoon in a loser-out
game. |
